These Sausage Puff Pastry Rolls are golden, flaky, buttery, and filled with a juicy seasoned sausage mixture. They’re perfect as an appetizer, party snack, game-day bite, or family gathering treat. Serve them warm with mustard sauce, ranch, garlic dip, or your favorite creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 lb ground sausage, beef sausage, or seasoned ground meat
- ½ cup shredded cheese, optional
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg, beaten, for brushing
- 1 tablespoon milk, optional for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F / 200°C.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the sausage meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and cheese if using.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into long rectangles.
- Place a line of sausage filling along the center of each pastry strip.
- Roll the pastry over the filling and seal the edge by pressing gently.
- Cut into small bite-sized rolls.
- Place the rolls on the baking tray, seam-side down.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg mixed with a little milk.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
