Yum! 🥐 Savory Sausage Puff Pastry Rolls

Recipe Introduction

These Sausage Puff Pastry Rolls are golden, flaky, buttery, and filled with a juicy seasoned sausage mixture. They’re perfect as an appetizer, party snack, game-day bite, or family gathering treat. Serve them warm with mustard sauce, ranch, garlic dip, or your favorite creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 lb ground sausage, beef sausage, or seasoned ground meat
  • ½ cup shredded cheese, optional
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 egg, beaten, for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon milk, optional for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F / 200°C.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the sausage meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and cheese if using.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into long rectangles.
  5. Place a line of sausage filling along the center of each pastry strip.
  6. Roll the pastry over the filling and seal the edge by pressing gently.
  7. Cut into small bite-sized rolls.
  8. Place the rolls on the baking tray, seam-side down.
  9. Brush the tops with beaten egg mixed with a little milk.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
