Ingredients:
- 1 large fresh ginger root (about 3–4 inches), sliced
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 4 cups water
Instructions:
- In a pot, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the sliced ginger, cloves, and cinnamon stick.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and add the lemon slices.
- Let the drink cool slightly, then strain into a jug or pitcher.
- Add honey if you prefer a sweeter taste.
